In addition to courses in Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced Modern Standard,  or in Moroccan spoken Arabic, students can take a wide variety of courses in literature, culture, political science, art, history and various other subjects relating to Morocco, North Africa and the Arab World.

During the semester-length program, students may take courses in the university's schools of Engineering and Science as well as in the Humanities and Social Sciences.    With the exception of the language courses, instruction at Al Akhawayn is in English.

All the language and cultural programs afford students the opportunity to travel and experience Morocco's rich cultural diversity, while practicing Arabic in real life situations.
